This year has been very different from other years and the jewellery side of life has been put on hold. I had a baby this summer and am currently enjoying being with her as much as I possibly can. I will be on maternity leave until at least after Christmas. Meanwhile I still have some jewellery in stock so please feel free to email me if you have any queries and I might be able to help. Or if you are in Hong Kong Ame Gallery still have some stock left of the Homesickness Collection.

Let me introduce the Gweilosticks!

It is for an exhibition about forks, where I wanted to represent where I am in my life at the moment.

Walking through the buzzling streets of Sheung Wan to get lunch I thought about the chopsticks that of course is so characteristic to eating in Hong Kong and China but how hard it can be for a gweilo (means ghost person in Cantonese, ie me :) ) to grip those slippery dumplings. Instead of shoving the stick right through it which I end up doing once in a while (which I've learnt is not good table manners) I have put a little fork on it for easier grip. Combining Western with the Eastern eating habits.
